Emerald Blood, Songs of the Ancients, Ailbhe’s Journey, A First In Progress Teaser
We’ve been quietly working on something for a while, and today we’re ready to share a short, in progress teaser of where the project is currently at.
Emerald Blood, Songs of the Ancients, Ailbhe’s Journey is an Irish made open world exploration game set over a thousand years ago. The project places Irish myth, culture and language at the heart of its design, with a strong focus on place, atmosphere and long term world building.
The game is being developed in collaboration with cultural partners to help ensure an authentic and respectful approach to Irish history, mythology and language. Our aim is not shock or spectacle, but a grounded experience that allows players to explore myth through landscape, memory and presence.
The world of Emerald Blood is built to reflect the real world landscape and geography of Leinster, Ireland. Terrain, scale and environment are shaped to feel natural and lived in, supporting exploration and storytelling through the land itself. The project is presented using cinematic, in engine visuals, allowing light, weather and atmosphere to play a central role in how the world is experienced.
The teaser below is early work and represents the current state of development. It is intended to communicate tone, intent and direction rather than finished gameplay. As development continues, systems, environments and narrative elements will evolve and expand.
